About Us

A Cameroon-based agribusiness specializing in industrial poultry farming and the production of high-quality fresh eggs — built on innovation, resilience, and climate-adapted technology.

From a small domestic initiative to a modern industrial operation, KER TAR AGRO represents a proven execution story—transforming challenges into competitive advantage and innovation into sustainable growth.

The company's origins trace back to 2015, when our Co-Founder, Yaah/Mrs Kinyuy, began a small domestic poultry initiative in Douala. What started as a modest backyard operation quickly revealed strong market demand and a clear opportunity for scalable production. Driven by this insight and a deep passion for farming, the founders transitioned from a domestic activity to a structured agricultural project by acquiring farmland in the Ntonde neighbourhood, Littoral Region.

The initial investment, based on locally built infrastructure, faced significant operational challenges due to the region's harsh climatic conditions, resulting in major production losses. Rather than retreat, the management team made a strategic decision to reposition the business around technology-driven, climate-resilient poultry production.

In 2022, the founders began feasibility studies to implement technology-driven solutions to boost productivity and in 2023, KER TAR AGRO became a pioneer in climate-adapted poultry farming in Cameroon through the deployment of large-scale industrial ventilation systems. This investment significantly improved flock survival rates, increased productivity per production block, and reduced heat-related stress, establishing a new operational benchmark in the sector.

In 2025, the company, in partnership with technology providers, successfully launched and validated Pad Cooling Technology, marking one of the first such implementations in Cameroon and further strengthening its leadership in controlled-environment poultry production.

Today, KER TAR AGRO operates five (5) industrial production blocks, each with a capacity of 35,000 laying hens, and achieves an average output of approximately 75,000 fresh eggs per day. The company serves a growing customer base across retail, wholesale, and institutional markets, with a strong focus on quality, biosecurity, and operational efficiency.

KER TAR AGRO is a scalable, technology-driven agribusiness startup addressing food security, import substitution, and rising protein demand in Cameroon and the sub-region. Our strategy is centered on capacity expansion, vertical integration, and continuous investment in productivity-enhancing technologies, supported by disciplined management and strong market fundamentals.
